It gives real-time feedback on how you're speaking — filler words, pacing, hedging, confidence — plus post-meeting reports and trend lines so you can watch yourself improve over weeks. It's polished, it's established, and reviewers consistently say the feedback helps.
MeetingCoach coaches a different layer: not how you sound, but what's happening in the conversation. It applies a coaching rubric to the live discussion and cues you on substance — you've been monologuing for two minutes, that was a range not a commitment, sounds like agreement so close it out. Rubrics are yours to customize: sales calls, 1:1s, interviews, fundraising. And the whole thing — transcription and AI — runs on your Mac. No account, no cloud, works with WiFi off.

Where Poised wins
- Delivery coaching. If your problem is "um," talking too fast, or sounding unsure, Poised has spent years tuning exactly that, and it's good at it.
- Long-term trend lines. Watching your filler-word count drop over a month is genuinely motivating. MeetingCoach keeps everything local, so there's no cloud progress graph.
- Windows support. MeetingCoach is Mac-only.
Where MeetingCoach wins
- It coaches the meeting, not the voice. You can deliver a flawless, filler-free monologue and still lose the deal because you never made the ask. MeetingCoach watches for the stuff that decides outcomes: talk balance, vague commitments, unclosed agreements, questions you didn't ask.
- Your rubric, your rules. A sales close, a performance review, and an investor pitch shouldn't be coached the same way. MeetingCoach's rubrics are editable — you decide what it watches for.
- Nothing leaves your Mac. Nothing. Poised processes your speech in the cloud, with an account attached. MeetingCoach has no server side at all — turn WiFi off and it keeps coaching. If your meetings are confidential, this is the whole decision.

My honest verdict
If public-speaking mechanics are your bottleneck — filler words, pace, nerves — Poised is a fine choice and their free tier lets you test that cheaply.
