What "stored in the cloud" actually implies
- Retention is a policy, not a promise. Defaults are usually "keep forever." Shortening retention is on you, per workspace, and re-checkable after every pricing-page redesign.
- Access is broader than you think. Workspace admins, managers with dashboard rights, CRM users with record access — the circle of people who can replay your call grows quietly.
- Subpoenas and breaches happen to vendors, not to you. Content on someone's servers is discoverable from someone's servers.
The on-device exception
MeetingCoach takes a different structural position: there is no server side. Speech-to-text runs on your Mac (Parakeet, on-device), the coaching AI is a local model pinned to 127.0.0.1, and the only artifact is a Markdown transcript in your Documents folder that you can read, edit, or delete like any file.
